Monocilindriche da pista e da hooligan — leggere, alte, fatte per essere buttate in piega.
Supermoto came from European hooligans putting road wheels on dirtbikes, was legitimised through KTM and Husqvarna, and survives mostly because it's the most fun-per-pound you can have on tarmac. Light (140–180 kg), tall, single-cylinder, built to be thrown around like a BMX with an engine.
The pattern is consistent: supermoto buyers tend to own more than one bike. Nobody's first big bike is a 690 SMC R, and almost nobody who tries one ever fully gets rid of one again.
