First small BMW since K75 Brand-new entry tier BMW had no proper sub-650cc since the K75 (1986-1996). G310GS opened a new entry tier — A2-friendly, sub-$5k new, BMW badge for the first time at this price.
vs KTM 390 Adventure Same money, different feel KTM 390 Adventure (44bhp, 158kg, $6,799): more power, lighter. G310GS (34bhp, 175kg, $5,495): cheaper, BMW dealer network. KTM is for the more aggressive A2 rider; G310GS for the BMW-loyal entry buyer.

Cheapest way in $3,000 (used 2017-19) A clean 2017-2019 G310GS is the cheapest BMW adventure bike on the market. $2.5-3.5k for a tidy one. Watch fuel pump on early bikes, TVS-built quality is solid otherwise.
