Heritage Nakeds

Heritage / retro-modern is what happens when you take a modern engine, modern brakes, modern suspension and dress them in 1970s clothing. Triumph Bonneville, Royal Enfield Interceptor, Kawasaki W800, BMW R nineT — bikes that look like the bikes their owners wished they had as teenagers.

Critics call them style over substance. Owners would argue style and substance aren't enemies. The thing the category nails: you don't need to ride a heritage bike fast to enjoy it. They reward presence over performance, which is increasingly what people actually want from a motorcycle.
