Sub-£5k modern naked with full IMU
Class-disruptive specification
CFMOTO 450NK at £4,899 is one of very few modern nakeds under £5k with full 6-axis IMU electronics. Yamaha MT-03 (£5,705) doesn't have it. Kawasaki Z400 (£5,899) doesn't have it. Honda CB500F (£5,799) doesn't have it. Only the KTM 390 Duke (£5,899, 6th-gen) matches the spec — and costs £1,000 more.
Same 449cc engine as 450MT
Platform commonality
The 450NK and 450MT share the 449cc parallel-twin engine, just tuned differently. 450NK: 47bhp at 9,000rpm (naked-bike tune). 450MT: 41bhp at 9,000rpm (ADV tune for low-end torque). Same crank, cases, head, just ECU + airbox + exhaust mapping changes. Spares pool is unified across the two bikes.
Steel trellis frame — KTM influence
Same construction philosophy as KTM 390 Duke
The 450NK uses a tubular steel trellis frame — same construction philosophy as KTM 390 Duke (whose 6th-gen launched 2024). CFMOTO has openly acknowledged that KTM Industries' engineering oversight extends to chassis design. The frame geometry and stiffness profile mirrors KTM small-displacement standards.
£4,899 OTR — cheapest A2 sport naked
Beats Yamaha MT-03, Kawasaki Z400 on price + spec
Cheapest A2-license modern naked on UK sale: CFMOTO 450NK £4,899. KTM 390 Duke (£5,899). Yamaha MT-03 (£5,705). Kawasaki Z400 (£5,899). The CFMOTO is £800 cheaper than the next bike + comes with more electronics. Aimed at 18-year-old new riders entering the segment via direct access.
Twin-cylinder engine character
More refined than the singles in this price tier
Many sub-£5k naked bikes have single-cylinder engines (Royal Enfield Hunter 350, Honda CB300R, KTM Duke 390). The 450NK's parallel-twin character — smoother, less vibration, longer sustained cruising at 70mph — is unusual at this price. Closer to a £6,000 mid-naked feel for £4,899.
