What actually changed.

1996 → 2026 · 30 years of "progress"
Hubless motor novelheadline feature The rear wheel has no central hub. The motor is rim-driven, looking like nothing else on the market. Genuinely engineered — not a styling exercise. Whether it provides a real advantage versus a conventional chain-driven motor remains debated.
Torque (claimed) 1200Nm 1200Nm of wheel torque. Caveat: this is wheel torque, not motor torque. Most spec sheets give motor torque before reduction. Verge publishes wheel torque because the hub motor has no reduction stage. Apples-to-oranges with conventional spec figures.
Direct sales no dealeronline + tour Verge skipped traditional dealer networks. They run a touring showroom and direct-online sales. Service is via a small network of approved partners. UK availability via Verge UK + select EV-specialist outlets.
Pricing $33.8k+halo positioning Premium-positioned. Closer to the LiveWire One launch price than the S2 Del Mar. Nothing about Verge is aimed at being affordable — the bike is a statement piece.
