Sport-tourers are an endangered genre. Once the dominant sensible-bike class — Honda VFR800, Yamaha FJR1300, Kawasaki Concours 14 — they've been squeezed by adventure tourers at the comfortable end and supersports at the fast end. The middle has thinned out.

What's left tends to be exceptional. BMW R1250RS, Suzuki GSX-S1000GT, Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX, Yamaha Tracer 9 GT — these sykler still do something nothing else does: sharp dynamics with proper luggage capacity and weather protection, at money that makes sense.
