What actually changed.

1996 → 2026 · 30 years of "progress"
UK-designed Coventrysince 2018 One of the few UK-based motorcycle manufacturers of any kind. Designed and assembled in Coventry. The retro styling deliberately echoes British 1960s commuters — Triumph T20 era — rather than aping continental electric scooters.
Battery format removabletwin-pack Two batteries you carry indoors to charge. No need for a garage charger. The defining feature — removes the biggest objection most flat-dwelling commuters have to electric.
Licence accessibility AM/A1no full licence needed RM1 is AM-class (16+, restricted to 28mph). RM1S unlocks A1 (17+, 47mph). The brand exists almost entirely in the entry-level licence space.
Pricing £5,995to £7,495 Three-year price walk from £5,995 to £7,495. Inflation explains some of it; the RM1S is also a more capable bike. Still the cheapest electric motorcycle on this site by some margin.
